Women in Physics Network
The Women in Physics Network of the Department of Physics at the University of Basel aims to promote networking among female physicists. Founded in 2017 by Prof. Jelena Klinovaja and Prof. Ilaria Zardo, the network promotes the exchange of experiences and information among female members of the department, with a particular focus on (but not limited to) gender-related issues in science. Regular lunches with invited speakers highlight different career paths for female physicists and serve as a platform for informal discussions in a relaxed environment. In addition, various social events create a sense of community among the female members of the department.
