YQuantum

YQuantum is a quantum hardware startup developing miniaturized, high-performance cryogenic hardware for next-generation quantum computers. The founding team consists of Dr. Christian Jünger (CEO), who earned his doctorate at the University of Basel, Dr. Johannes Herrmann (CTO), and Prof. em. Dr. Christian Schönenberger (scientific advisor). The latter was the long-standing head of the Quantum and Nanoelectronics research group at the Basel Quantum Center.

qprobe

With a foundation in academic excellence and a passion for technological advancement, qprobe's journey began in Richard Warburton's group and the mechanical workshop at the University of Basel's Physics Department in 2019. Faced with the need for high-throughput device testing at temperatures below 2 Kelvin in their own research and finding no suitable cryogenic probe stations on the market, they developed their own solution. This resulted in a complete redesign of the traditional cryogenic probe station.
