Swiss Quantum Initiative
Switzerland is excellently positioned in the field of quantum research, technology and application. The Swiss Quantum Initiative (SQI) aims to further strengthen this leading position. It contributes to Switzerland's ability to compete and connect at the international level and creates a good starting position for international cooperations.
The SQI is coordinated and led by the Swiss Quantum Commission (SQC), a group of leading experts in the field. It is hosted by the Swiss Academy of Sciences SCNAT, mandated by the Swiss Confederation.
Swiss Quantum Days
The SQI is the main sponsor of the Swiss Quantum Days. The four quantum centers - the EPFL QSE Center, the Quantum Center at ETH Zurich, the Geneva Quantum Center and the Basel Quantum Center - organize together with the SQI the conference, which has taken place every year since 2023. The Swiss Quantum Days aim to bring together the Swiss quantum community for scientific exchange and to initiate new collaborations.

Swiss Quantum Winter School
Since 2026, we have been organising the Swiss Quantum Winter School together. It is aimed at first-year PhD students and master's students preparing for PhD study, and it takes place before the Swiss Quantum Days.
