QNAMI is a startup company spun of from the Quantum Sensing Group of Prof. Patrick Maletinsky. The core mission of QNAMI is to commercialise the quantum sensing technologies that have been developed in the Maletinsky group. A particular focus is on tools and complete instruments for single-spin nanoscale quantum sensing.

Basel Precision Instruments develops ultra-low-noise precision laboratory and test electronics for low-temperature quantum applications. The company was founded in March 2018, as a spin-off of the Zumbühl group and the electronics laboratory of the Physics Department at the University of Basel. The products of Basel Precision Instruments are used at the forefront of research and innovation in hundreds of research and government laboratories around the world.

YQuantum is a quantum hardware startup developing miniaturized, high-performance cryogenic hardware for next-generation quantum computers. The founding team consists of Dr. Christian Jünger (CEO), who earned his doctorate at the University of Basel, Dr. Johannes Herrmann (CTO), and Prof. em. Dr. Christian Schönenberger (scientific advisor). The latter was the long-standing head of the Quantum and Nanoelectronics research group at the Basel Quantum Center.
